Master Sergeant Lewis D McConnell jr.
born Oct 24 1917 in Norman Park GA His father was a decorated WWI veteran and minor leauge baseball player. Lewis joined the army in Ft. Benning as a paratrooper. Then later transferred to Air Force. After traine=ing he was sent to Austrailia/ New Guinea. He was a crew chief on the Douglas A-20 Havoc. After the war he was with the 33st AF in Indiana. He was a Methodist pastor after the Air Force and wrote several short books. He died in North Carolina 1985
